Kelvinator 1 Ton Split Type AC

The Kelvinator 1 Ton Split Type AC (model KSV-12NVBD) is a wall-mounted split air conditioner rated at 12000 BTU, which is the standard 1 ton size for a bedroom, study or small office room. It runs on a 220-240V, 50Hz supply at 50Hz rated frequency, so it works on ordinary household wiring.

This is a 12000 BTU AC that uses R-32 refrigerant with a filling quantity of 0.41 KG. Power input is 1220W and rated input is 1750W, with a current input of 5.72A and a maximum current input of 7.90A. The compressor locked current is rated at 30A, and the design pressure is 1.15 MPa on the suction side and 4.15 MPa on the discharge side.

Indoor noise is rated at 40 dB(A) and outdoor noise at 52 dB(A), which keeps the bedroom quiet at night. The indoor unit moves 550 m³/h of air and weighs 7 KG, while the outdoor unit weighs 22 KG and carries an IPX4 waterproof rating along with Class I shockproof protection. The climate application type is T1.

Buyers comparing a Kelvinator AC in Bangladesh usually look at tonnage, BTU rating, refrigerant type, running current, noise level and warranty length. On this model the headline numbers are 12000 BTU cooling, R-32 refrigerant, 1220W power input and a 40 dB(A) indoor noise level.

Important Usage Instructions

• Match the room to the capacity: 12000 BTU suits a normal bedroom-sized room, not a large hall.
• Clean the indoor unit air filters every two to three weeks so the 550 m³/h airflow is not blocked.
• Keep the outdoor unit in an open, shaded spot with clear space around it for heat to escape.
• Use a stable 220-240V line and let the compressor rest a few minutes before switching the unit on again.
• Have an authorised technician handle refrigerant top-up, gas checks and yearly servicing.

• Outdoor unit
