The SINGER Heavy Dry Iron 1200W (model 241000TCRB) is a 1200 watt dry iron, which means it works on heat and weight alone with no water tank or steam. At 1.5 to 1.8 kg it carries enough mass to press a shirt collar or a thick cotton kurta flat without you leaning on it.

The base is a ceramic coated soleplate. The coating glides over fabric instead of catching on it, which keeps the risk of scorch marks down on thin or synthetic cloth. Important Usage Instructions

• Set the dial to the step that matches the fabric, and start with the lowest heat when you are unsure — synthetics first, cotton and linen last.
• Let the iron reach the set temperature before pressing, and test on an inside seam when ironing a delicate garment.
• This is a dry iron, so lightly sprinkle stubborn creases with water on the cloth itself; never pour water into the iron.
• Stand the iron on its heel whenever you pause, and never leave it lying face down on fabric.
• Unplug and let the soleplate cool fully before wiping it, and store the iron with the cord loosely coiled.
