• Switch off and unplug before cleaning; wipe the guard and blade with a dry cloth and keep water out of the motor housing.
• Never run the fan with the guard removed, bent or cracked, and keep children away from the grille.
• Dust on the blades unbalances them and makes the fan noisy — clean the blades every few weeks in dusty months.
• If the fan starts humming, vibrating or slowing down, switch it off and have it checked instead of running it on.
• Keep the motor away from rain and direct sun, and do not hang cloth or plastic over a running fan.
