Vision Evaporative Air cooler-35L (SuperCool)

Vision Evaporative Air cooler-35L (SuperCool) cools the way a wet-pad cooler does: a fan pulls room air through water-soaked honeycomb pads and pushes it back out cooler. The 28-litre water tank feeds those pads, and with a maximum air volume of 4500 m³/h the unit is rated for rooms of 25–40 square metres.

Pads sit on three sides of this Vision Evaporative Air Cooler, so most of the air drawn in actually passes through wet media rather than around it. Maximum wind speed is 9.5 m/s and the air vent swings left and right automatically, spreading the cool stream across the room instead of aiming it at one chair. Three speed settings let you drop the noise at night and open it up in the afternoon.

The top panel is tempered glass and the controls are touch-operated. As a Vision Room Air Cooler with Remote Control, it can also be run from across the room, and it adds a separate ice box for a colder stream, a water level indicator so you know when to refill, and a timer that can be set up to 12 hours.

The Vision 35 Super Cool runs on 220–240V, 50Hz and draws only 110W, which is a fraction of what a compressor-based cooler needs. It measures 495 × 360 × 810 mm and weighs 11.5 kg, light enough to wheel between the bedroom and the living room; boxed, it is 525 × 400 × 880 mm and 13.0 kg. Vision also describes the unit as using a heavy-duty turbo motor with engineered fan blade angles for quieter running.

Important Usage Instructions

• An evaporative cooler needs fresh air, so keep a window or door partly open — in a sealed room the air turns humid instead of cool.
• Fill the tank with clean water only and watch the water level indicator; running the fan with dry pads gives you air movement but no cooling.
• Freeze the ice box beforehand and drop it in on hot afternoons for a colder stream.
• Rinse the honeycomb pads and drain the 28-litre tank every few weeks so dust and mineral deposits do not clog the media or smell.
• Place the cooler on a flat floor with the rear intake clear of walls and curtains, and unplug it before refilling or cleaning.
