Walton 1.8L Rice Cooker – Star Deluxe

The Walton 1.8L Rice Cooker – Star Deluxe (model WRC-STAR-DELUXE 1.8L) is a 700 watt electric rice cooker with 1.8 litre capacity. It handles 1.0 to 1.2 kg of uncooked rice in one batch, which covers daily cooking for a small to medium family.

What sets this Walton Star Deluxe Rice Cooker apart is the pair of inner pots — one aluminium and one stainless steel. The aluminium pot carries a German standard non-stick coating that keeps rice soft, separated and free from sticking, while the stainless steel pot suits everyday use. A stainless steel steamer is included, so vegetables or eggs can steam while the rice cooks below.

The outer body is seamless and robust, which resists marks and wipes clean easily. The unit runs on 220 V AC at 50 Hz, the packet measures 287 mm x 287 mm x 310 mm, and the electronics are built to the IEC-60335-2-15 safety standard.

As a 700 Watt Rice Cooker, the Star Deluxe 1.8L is sized for households that want simultaneous cooking and steaming without a large footprint. When comparing this Walton 1.8L Rice Cooker with other models, look at pot count, pot material, coating quality and whether a steamer is supplied.

Important Usage Instructions

• Wash the rice, then measure water with the marks inside the inner pot rather than by guesswork.
• Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry and seat it flat on the heating plate before switching on.
• Use a plastic or wooden spoon on the non-stick pot; metal spoons and knives will scratch the coating.
• Keep the steam vent clear and do not cover the lid with cloth while cooking.
• Unplug and let the cooker cool before cleaning, and never dip the outer body or power base in water.

• Steam vent
