Walton Stainless Steel Double Burner Gas Stove - WGS-SDH90 — the two burners are deliberately unequal: 2.8 kW on one side, 3.8 kW on the other.

That asymmetry is the point of this model. Most double burners give you two identical flames, so a pot of milk and a pot of rice compete for the same heat. Here the smaller 2.8 kW head handles milk, tea, dal and anything that scorches, while the 3.8 kW head carries rice, meat and a full pressure cooker. You stop juggling the flame knob between dishes.

The body is stainless steel rather than tempered glass — panels, burner support bar and frame all in SS, which is why the whole stove weighs just 3.1 Kg. Steel does not crack when a heavy pan lands on it, and a scorch mark buffs out instead of staying visible. The pan support is zigzag nickel electroplated with a locking system, so the pot sits in the groove instead of sliding when you stir.

Ignition is piezoelectric with a 100% ignition rate, rated for 35,000-40,000 sparks, and the burner and igniter can both be adjusted to bring the flame back to blue. Thermal efficiency is above 65%, meaning most of the gas goes under the pot rather than around it. It runs on an LPG cylinder or a piped natural gas line.

Important Usage Instructions

• Use the 2.8 kW side for milk, tea and dal; keep the 3.8 kW side for rice, meat and the pressure cooker.
• Wipe spills once the panel is cool — milk and sugar bake onto hot steel and leave a ring.
• Keep the 90 mm burner ports clear; a blocked port shows as a yellow, uneven flame.
• Dry the burner caps fully after washing before you relight them.
• Check the rubber hose and regulator every couple of years, and close the cylinder valve when the kitchen will be empty for a long stretch.
