The Marcel MWM-TWP100DP is a semi-automatic twin tub machine, which means washing and spinning happen in two separate tubs. You control each step yourself, so a heavy load of bed sheets and a light load of shirts can be handled differently in the same session. With a 10 kg wash capacity and a 7 kg spin capacity, it is sized for a family that washes in bulk rather than in small daily batches.

Why a twin tub still makes sense

A twin tub uses far less water than a fully automatic machine because you decide when to drain and refill, and you can reuse the wash water for a second, dirtier load. It also runs without the long fixed cycles an automatic machine locks you into — a quick ten-minute wash is genuinely ten minutes. For homes where the water supply is irregular, that control matters more than automation.

What the specifications actually mean

The 5-fin jumbo pulsator is the finned disc at the base of the wash tub; more fins move the water in more directions, so clothes rub against water rather than against each other. The energy saving motor draws 410W while washing and only 200W while spinning. Two lint filters catch the fibre that would otherwise settle back onto your clothes, and the IPX4 waterproof grade means splashes from any direction will not reach the electrics. The cover and body are ABS/PP plastic with PP tubs, so there is nothing inside that can rust.

Practical notes before you buy

The machine measures 866 × 494 × 960 mm and weighs 24.5 kg, so it needs a permanent spot near a drain rather than something you move around.
