The Walton WWM-SWG80 is a single tub semi-automatic machine. One tub does the washing; you lift the clothes out and wring or hang them yourself. That one design choice is what makes it the least expensive powered way to wash 8 kg of laundry at home, and why it weighs only 12.5 kg.

Single tub or twin tub — decide this first

A twin tub has a second, smaller tub that spins water out of the clothes, so laundry comes out damp rather than dripping. A single tub like this one washes and drains but does not spin-dry. If you hang clothes on a line anyway, and especially if roof or balcony space is not a problem, the single tub does the hard part — the scrubbing — and saves you a few thousand taka. What the numbers mean in a small flat

At 524 × 445 × 845 mm this takes about the floor space of a bedside table, and at 12.5 kg one person can move it to the bathroom and back. The motor draws 320W — roughly a third of what a fully automatic machine pulls on a heated cycle — so a wash costs very little in electricity. Because you control the water yourself, one tub of water can do two loads: the lighter clothes first, the dirtier ones after.

Build and safety

The body is non-corrosive plastic with a PP wash tub and a tempered glass lid, so you can see the wash without opening it. A lint filter traps loose fibre, an overflow protection system stops the tub filling past its limit, and the IPX4 rating means splashes from any direction will not reach the electrics.
