The body is a single aluminium vessel — there is no separate inner pot to place inside, food cooks directly in the cooker itself. Aluminium picks up stove heat quickly and spreads it evenly across the base and sides, so pulses and meat soften faster and are less likely to catch at the bottom.

With the lid closed, steam builds pressure inside, which raises the boiling point of the water. That is why beef, chickpeas or thick lentils cook in a fraction of the usual time. Shorter cooking means less gas burned, and because the pot stays sealed, more of the food's flavour and nutrients are retained.

Important Usage Instructions

• Never fill the cooker more than two-thirds full; for foaming foods such as dal, keep it to half.
• Check that the gasket, safety valve and vent are clean and correctly seated before every use.
• Lock the lid fully before placing the cooker on the stove, and lower the flame once pressure builds.
• Let the pressure drop completely on its own before opening the lid — never force it open.
• Wash the body and lid separately by hand and dry them before storing; store the lid upside down on the pot.
